Overview

"The family and I have thoroughly enjoyed our new raised deck. It was a very large project (the deck is 38 feet long and 14 feet wide in some parts) but the construction was made a great deal easier by using the Dek-Block piers. We live in an area where the ground is mostly rock. Because the deck is raised to accommodate an above ground pool, posts were needed to bring the deck to the right height. By using the Dek-Block piers we didn't have to drill post holes through a most difficult soil. We simply placed the blocks on top of the ground, added the post, leveled it and began to build. Once finished, the deck has proven to be as sturdy as if it was built on posts cemented 2 feet into the ground. We have had up to 35 people on it and it held steady, no movement or swaying. It is a firm, solid deck, which is very important to me because my family will be on it, and their safety is my number one concern. The Dek-Block piers have saved us considerable work and time and most importantly I am pleased with the solid structure of the deck. We are glad we used them and will use them again on any other project of this type."
